Going on a boat cruise! A 1 hour cruise on the tiny but lovely Lake Couchiching. It was perfect day! Not too hot, or too cold. Some happy little clouds.. We sat on the upper deck. An island inhabited by Cormorants. The vegetation almost completely destroyed by bird poop, but the tree branches are covered by these amazing birds! I was trying to get a good closeup, but the boat didn't go too close to the island. The Captain's dog. A real little cutie! Some typical scenery. The name of our boat. It was a lovely cruise! A female mallard. No Canada Geese to be seen; apparently they've been removed from the park area. The water along the shore is crystal clear. I saw a turtle here, but he moved faster than my shutter! I went to bed that night dreaming of birds, and sky, and water!

Author I have always been an artist. I studied art at Georgian College in Barrie. I majored in Textile Design, which I chose because it gave me a lot of flexibility in media. Currently, I am painting in acrylic ,and in oil, on canvas. My other passion is gardening, and flowers often show up in my work! Archives
