In one of my favourite books, "The Artist's Way", the authour, Julia Cameron, recommends going on an artist's date every week. It means going alone, to look at things that that replenish your artistic spirit, and give you inspiration. So, I went out with my camera, and this is what I looked at.....I stopped on the side of the road to photograph these beauties! A closer look... A further away look. There was even some milkweed. And some wild asters. Now I'm doing to go home and paint!

Last night I walked down to the lake without my camera, and the blue heron swooped in the closest I've ever seen! Tonight, here I am, all ready, and no heron! It is very beautiful though! I'm always happy to be here. So peaceful....Someday, I'll be in the right place at the right time, and get a good picture of that elusive heron! If you look close, you can see some geese flying by. a closer view.... And then,a spectacular moon! Time I went home. Goodnight all! |
Author I have always been an artist. I studied art at Georgian College in Barrie. I majored in Textile Design, which I chose because it gave me a lot of flexibility in media. Currently, I am painting in acrylic ,and in oil, on canvas. My other passion is gardening, and flowers often show up in my work! Archives
