One rainy day not too long ago, I pulled out five fat quarters of batik fabric from my stash, and started cutting them into squares. Zoey was a great help keeping the blocks organized, and arranging the colours. We make a great team! The sewing machine was of great interest! I still use my old machine, which has seen much usage over the years. I was thinking a simple nine block pattern, as I am a bit out of practice sewing, but it turned out to be twelve blocks instead. Nice to have a helper lining up the blocks! I have to go to the fabric store to purchase fabric for strapping. So, that's it for now. Stay tuned for more on another rainy day!

Author I have always been an artist. I studied art at Georgian College in Barrie. I majored in Textile Design, which I chose because it gave me a lot of flexibility in media. Currently, I am painting in acrylic ,and in oil, on canvas. My other passion is gardening, and flowers often show up in my work! Archives
